Uefa will decide on Monday whether to charge Wayne Rooney over his clash with Kasper Risgard.
England striker will learn if he is to be charged on Monday
Wayne Rooney will find out next week if he is to be charged over his clash with AaB Aalborg's Kasper Risgard.
Uefa has confirmed that it will decide on Monday whether to charge the Manchester United striker following Wednesday's incident at Old Trafford.
Risgard claims Rooney deliberately stamped on him during the first half of the UEFA Champions League tie and left marks on his chest.
Stand-in Aalborg boss Allan Kuhn also felt Rooney had overstepped the mark in the incident, which was missed by referee Laurent Duhamel.
Refused
But Sir Alex Ferguson has refused to add his views, feeling the press has 'created most of it'.
Offered the chance to give his view ahead of Saturday's trip to Tottenham - which Rooney will miss after collecting five bookings - Ferguson said: "I am not going to discuss Wayne Rooney.
"You press guys have created most of it. You are not getting anything from this club at all on Wayne Rooney. That is it, finished."
Uefa will study video evidence and if it concurs with Risgard's view, Rooney will almost certainly be banned for the beginning of the knock-out rounds of Europe's elite competition in February.
