Sheffield Wednesday will look to extend their four-match unbeaten run against Bristol City.
Major injury problems for the Owls, McAllister and Johnson return for City
Sheffield Wednesday will look to extend their four-match unbeaten run when Bristol City head to town on Saturday.
If results go their way then the Owls could climb into the play-off places, but they have some serious injury problems to contend with.
No fewer than nine players are sidelined for Brian Laws' men, having most recently lost Etienne Esajas to a possible toe fracture, Frank Simek with a hamstring injury and Wade Small with impaired vision after a ball to the face caused bleeding in his eye.
However, Lewis Buxton should be available after illness.
City news
Bristol City are also suffering their fair share of injury woes with Dele Adebola and Louis Carey ruled out by dead legs, and two unnamed players facing late fitness tests after being sidelined with flu.
In better news, Jamie McAllister and Lee Johnson have been passed fit after toe and ankle injuries respectively, although James Wilson could be set for a full debut if McAllister can only make the bench.
Striker Nicky Maynard should also be available despite being stretchered off against Ipswich with a bruised shin.
