Real Mallorca are hoping to sign Japan international Hisato Sato during the January transfer window. The Primera Liga outfit and believed to have been tracking the Sanfrecce Hiroshima striker for time, and are now ready to make an approach. The 26-year-old's current deal is set to expire in the New Year, allowing him to move to Spain as a free agent should an agreement be reached. Sato admits he would find it difficult to leave his homeland, but believes the opportunity to test himself in Europe is too good to turn down. "I love it here at Hiroshima. But, if the story is true, I need to seriously think about it," he told Nikkan Sports. "I am thinking about playing abroad so every opportunity must be looked as closely." Despite his desire to accept a new challenge abroad, Hiroshima are set to offer Sato an improved contract in an effort to keep him at the club.
