Redknapp has Levy backing in transfer market

Tottenham boss Harry Redknapp has revealed he has drawn up his shopping list for the January transfer window. Redknapp is keen to strengthen his squad as he looks to guide Spurs away from trouble at the wrong end of the Premier League. The Spurs chief insists he has the backing of White Hart Lane chairman Daniel Levy in the transfer market and he believes new faces are needed to boost his options. "Without a doubt the squad needs strengthening if we're going to be where people expect us to be," Redknapp told The Sun. "I've spoken to the chairman and he accepts that. He has to, that's why he brought me in. "Hopefully he thinks I know what I'm talking about and I wouldn't just spend his money for the sake of it. "I know the players I want. I've got a list of players and it's not like four for one position. "So, if we can't get exactly those players, then we might get some loans in to make sure we can get through the season then we'll look again in the summer."
