Swedish striker heading for Holland

Heerenveen have completed a deal which will see Patrik Ingelsten join the club in January. The Swedish striker leaves Kalmar FF in his homeland, where he has proven to be a consistent goal-getter. Ingelsten has seen his future become the subject of much debate in recent weeks, with a host of clubs said to be tracking his availability. Kalmar, the reigning Swedish champions, were keen to hang on to their prized asset, making it clear that only a substantial offer could tempt their hand. Heerneveen have provided such an approach and will be hoping their newest recruit can bolster their firepower once Eredivisie action resumes in February. Kalmar chairman Johnny Pettersson is disappointed to see the 26-year-old leave, but believes the deal will benefit all parties. "There are still a few details to be finalised," he told Fotbollskanalen. "I will not say anything about the transfer fee, but we are pleased with the agreement we have reached with Heerenveen."
