United full-back seeks further glory
Patrice Evra has set his sights on a third consecutive Premier League title with Manchester United.
The Red Devils will bring 2008 to a close as reigning domestic, UEFA Champions League and Club World Cup kings.
A memorable 12 months has seen them sweep all before them, but no-one at Old Trafford will be resting on their laurels.
Evra insists he remains focused on the future, not the past, and believes United are as hungry as ever to add to their mounting collection of silverware.
"My target is to win three titles in a row," said the France international full-back.
"To win it again would be the best feeling. We have the potential to do it but we must keep working hard."
United currently sit seven points off the pace in the race for top-flight glory, but do have two games in hand on the sides above them.
Injustice
Evra will be unable to help the club in their next four matches, though, as he must serve a suspension following an altercation with members of the Chelsea ground staff last season.
The contentious issue has been widely discussed over the past few weeks, with Evra still feeling aggrieved at having to face a month on the sidelines as the result of an incident he insists he did not instigate.
"I would like to thank the FA for my little holiday, it means I can spend more time with my family over Christmas," he said sarcastically.
"I have thought about the ban every day. Of course, I am still very angry because I don't accept I did what they say.
"When you miss games through injury, you can understand it but to miss four games because of this hurts.
"It's not the best Christmas present for me, that's for sure."
