Groningen striker heading to Eredivisie rivals
ADO Den Haag have agreed a deal to sign striker Berry Powel from Eredivisie rivals FC Groningen.
Powel recently fell out of favour with Groningen coach Ron Jans and was dropped from the squad, before making a brief substitute appearance in Saturday's 5-2 win over Roda JC.
The 28-year-old former Millwall, De Graafschap and Den Bosch forward has signed a two-and-a-half-year deal and will officially join his new club when the transfer window opens again on 1st January.
ADO coach Andre Wetzel told the club's
official website: "Berry is aching to play a game every week again. He is guaranteed to get us goals, that is proved by his statistics."
Powel has only moved to Groningen in January of this year as a replacement for Erik Nevland who moved to Premier League outfit Fulham.
