Morecambe duo set to miss out while Green suspended for visitors
Morecambe manager Sammy McIlroy faces one of his former clubs when Macclesfield visit Christie Park on Friday.
McIlroy is likely to resist the temptation to welcome back Michael Twiss and Wayne Curtis for the game.
Midfielder Twiss (ankle) scored a brace in the Lancashire Senior Cup victory over Wigan on Monday night, while striker Curtis (ribs) also featured as the duo continued their comeback from injury.
Garry Hunter also played in that game but he too is unlikely to return to the squad after bruised bones.
The Shrimpers have a number of other injury concerns with Michael Howard (back) and Matt Blinkhorn (knee) looking set to remain on the sidelines along with second-choice goalkeeper Scott Davies (hamstring).
Midfielder Michael Carr returned from an ankle injury to make a substitute appearance in last weekend's 1-1 draw at Luton, and came through unscathed so could retain his place in McIlroy's squad.
Silkmen team news
Macclesfield boss Keith Alexander will again be without striker Francis Green.
Green was shown a red card for a scuffle with Chesterfield defender Alan Goodall just before the final whistle of the Silkmen's recent win at Saltergate and serves the second game of a three-match suspension.
The Silkmen were hammered 4-0 by at home by Dagenham on Saturday and Alexander admits he is contemplating changes.
It was only their second defeat in nine games and defender Paul Morgan is in contention to claim a starting berth.
Speaking after the Dagenham game, Alexander said: "Lee Bell had a good game and got himself around the pitch, trying to close people down but there weren't many others that can come out of that game with any credit."
