Stimson happy to agree deal to hang on to Spurs striker

Gillingham have agreed to keep on-loan Tottenham Hotspur striker Andy Barcham for the rest of the season. Barcham has scored five goals in 17 appearances for the Gills since joining in September and his initial loan expired after the Boxing Day defeat at Dagenham & Redbridge. However, though he will miss Sunday's game against Wycombe, Barcham will spend the remainder of the campaign at Priestfield. Gills boss Mark Stimson told the club's official website: "Andy Barcham will stay with us until the end of the season which is great news. "His advisor is coming to the game on Sunday with Andy to watch the match and sort out his deal, but Tottenham have said we can take him on loan until the end of the season. "I'm very pleased because as we've seen he can be an asset to us if we give him the ball. "He always puts in a good shift and that's exactly what you need if you are going to be successful at this level."
