Chief executive leaves by mutual consent
Sheffield Wednesday chief executive Kaven Walker has left the club by mutual consent.
The Owls recently appointed Sheffield businessmen Lee Strafford and Nick Parker as new board members to help the club work towards a major new investment.
Walker's departure is understood to be a part of the process and Sheffield Wednesday have expressed their gratitude to him.
A club statement read: "We would like to express on record our thanks to Mr Walker for his diligent efforts over past years.
"Current director Nick Parker will take on a greater role in the day-to-day running of the club. He will be assisted by the current management team.
"The board would like to make it clear to all fans that this news will have no effect on the club's dealings in the January transfer window.
"Nor will it adversely impact on the process of delivering new investment to the club."
Walker joined the Owls as commercial director in 2000 and was appointed chief executive in March 2005.
