USA international aiming to keep pushing up the table
Clint Dempsey is looking forward to the second half of the season following Fulham's rise up the table.
The Cottagers stretched their unbeaten run to nine games after battling back for a 2-2 draw at home to title contenders Chelsea on Sunday.
Dempsey scored both goals against the club's West London rivals and has established himself in Roy Hodgson's plans in recent weeks.
He was not surprised that Fulham matched Chelsea and believes the team can push on from their current ninth spot.
Lot of fight
"It's not just this last game, it has been every game," said the American in the
Daily Star.
"We are a team that has a lot of fight and we work hard for each other.
"We weren't surprised how well we matched Chelsea.
"Obviously they had more possession and created more chances, but we showed how tough we are defensively.
"We're looking forward to the second half of the season because we want to push as hard as we can and see how far we can move up."
