Aston Villa boss Martin O'Neill has rejected reports linking the club with a move for Sporting Gijon defender Roberto Canella. Reports emanating from Spain suggested Villa were lining up a big-money move to try and lure Canella to Spain. The 20-year-old has impressed in La Liga this season and he has been tipped for a big future in the game. However, O'Neill has moved quickly to dismiss the rumours saying he has no interest in the defender. "There is no substance in the story whatsoever," O'Neill told the club's official website.
