Danish winger to rejoin ex-club to train
Free agent Peter Lovenkrands has confirmed he is joining former club Rangers 'for training'.
The Danish winger is on the look-out for a new club after having his contract with Bundesliga side Schalke cancelled by mutual consent.
He is now set to train with Rangers, whom he admits could be a 'great club' for him after he made more than 100 appearances for the Scottish side between 2000 and 2006 before leaving for Schalke.
But as well as Rangers, the 28-year-old has been linked with a host of Premier League clubs, including Fulham.
Lovenkrands told
sporten.dk: "It's true that I am on the way back to Rangers for training, but I clearly do not want to say any more on that.
Definitely open
"I am not prepared to make any comments on salary and such things, but I am definitely open for many things.
"Of course, Rangers could be a great club for me. I know the club well and still have a great relationship with the club's management as well as with the fans.
"But my agent and I will have to see what sort of offers are going to come by now."
Lovenkrands made 44 appearances and scored six goals during his injury-plagued two-and-a-half years with the German side.
His contract was set to expire at the end of the season but both parties decided to part company after Lovenkrands had made just one appearance this term.
