MK Dons defender Jude Stirling has agreed a new long-term contract with the League One high-fliers.
The 26-year-old has signed up to stay until June 2011 after establishing himself as an important member of the squad.
He has played 18 times so far this term to help Roberto Di Matteo's side into second place in the table.
In total, he has made 60 appearances for the Dons - scoring four times - since joining from Peterborough two years ago.
Moving forward
Stirling told the club's
official website: "Ever since I arrived and I saw what the club was about and the people that work here, I knew I wanted to spend a long period of time in Milton Keynes. Seeing the way the club is moving forward - it's definitely the place to be.
"Whatever happens with MK Dons, we have people with the ambition to get to the top doing everything possible to get there.
"When you can respect the people you're working for and they respect you, you know you're in the right place."
MK Dons chairman Pete Winkelman added: "As a player, a professional and a person, Jude has become a very popular and very important member of the squad in the last two years.
Responsibility
"Jude has always been the type of player to put the interests of the team ahead of his own and he thrives on the responsibility of being one of our senior professionals.
"His enthusiasm and commitment to raising his own standards, as well as those of the team, have been first class and he is another player we feel can help take the club forward."
