Defender hoping to win move to Ashton Gate

Bristol City have invited Ghana defender Jonathan Quartey for a trial, according to his club Kaizer Chiefs. Kaizer Chiefs boss Bobby Motaung claims Quartey will spend a week at Ashton Gate in a bid to win a move to City. The 20-year-old has been linked with a move to Europe in the past with Robins boss Gary Johnson will now cast an eye over him as he looks to bolster his squad. "Jonathan left the country last night (Wednesday) for a seven-day trial with Bristol City. The club is looking for two defenders and they approached us about the player," Motaung told the Chiefs' official website. "It is not our policy to stand in the player's way when an overseas opportunity comes up. Jonathan has shown a lot of potential since joining the team last season and we wish him all the best during the trial," Motaung.
