Royals leading hunt for Jamaican

Barnsley midfielder Jamal Campbell-Ryce is the subject of two bids from two clubs, skysports.com understands. Reading are believed to be one of the mystery clubs interested in signing the Jamaican international during this month's transfer window. Campbell-Ryce has established himself as key member of the Barnsley side since his arrival from Southend in August 2007. His form at Oakwell has attracted the interest of a host of clubs with Reading thought to have held a long-term interest in the player. Reading could be in the market for midfield reinforcements with Stephen Hunt strongly linked with a move away from the Madejski Stadium. Barnsley would be loathe to sell Campbell-Ryce, but they could find it hard to turn down a sizeable offer for the former Rotherham United and Chesterfield man.
