Leeds United have confirmed that they have released Malian international Mansour Assoumani. The French-born defender has played just one game for The Whites, featuring against Milton Keynes Dons last month. He was only signed in December on a short-term trial after impressing on trial. However, new Leeds boss Simon Grayson has decided that the former Montpellier man is surplus to his requirements.
