Norwich and Utrecht linked with Pittodrie chief

Jimmy Calderwood is 'flattered' to be linked with the Norwich City and Utrecht jobs, but insists he is happy to stay at Aberdeen. Norwich sacked Glenn Roeder last week and Dons boss Calderwood has been mooted as a possible replacement for the Championship strugglers. The former Willem II and NEC Nijmegen coach has also been linked with a return to Holland after confirming there has been interest from Utrecht. However, while Calderwood acknowledged the links to other jobs, he confirmed it would take 'something special' to persuade him to leave Aberdeen.

Fabulous club

"I haven't heard anything officially from Norwich nor from Utrecht, but I must admit I have had a few phone calls about the post at the Dutch club," Calderwood told reporters. "People have been in touch regarding the manager's position, but I don't know if they are officially connected to the club. "There's certainly no point reacting to something that might not be there and if anything does materialise I will deal with it. "It's great and flattering to be connected with two good clubs as it shows we are doing something right at Aberdeen, but this is a fabulous club as well. "You never know what might happen, but it would have to be something special for me to leave Aberdeen. "I definitely have had a desire to manage in England at some stage, but you have to be offered the chance to go there and it doesn't happen for everyone."
