Striker to miss three games; Mourinho also banned

Adriano has been handed a three-match suspension for punching an opponent during Inter Milan's Serie A match against Sampdoria on Sunday. The Italian league announced in a statement that Adriano punched Daniele Gastaldello of Sampdoria in the stomach in the 38th minute, shortly before netting the match's only goal in first-half injury-time. The league imposed the ban after reviewing television footage that showed the punch, which had not been seen by the referee. Inter boss Mourinho has also been banned for Wednesday's game at Catania after being sent from the dugout just before Adriano's goal for arguing with the officials.
