The 20-year-old signed a season-long deal with the Spanish outfit in the summer, moving to the Basque country from Valencia.
Despite that agreement still having some six months to run, Osasuna are prepared to let the Nigerian-born star discuss a potential switch to the Premier League.
The Spain Under 20 international is considered to be a hot prospect for the future and it comes as no surprise that his obvious talents have drawn admiring glances from afar.
"Osasuna have today granted permission for Sunday Stephen Obayan 'Sunny' to travel to England and negotiate a possible move to a team from that country," read a statement on the club's
official website.
While the team in question is yet to be confirmed, reports in Spain suggest Sunny could be on his way to Portsmouth.
