Argentine midfielder joins Championship outfit
Ipswich Town boss Jim Magilton has bolstered his squad with the addition of Luciano Civelli for an undisclosed fee.
The 22-year-old, who holds an Italian passport, has signed a contract that keeps him at Portman Road until the summer of 2012.
Civelli came to Ipswich's attention at the end of last year after the club dispatched scouts to run the rule over emerging talent in Argentina.
Luciano, whose brother Renato plays for Marseille, made 68 appearances for Banfield, scoring eight goals.
Civelli joins a team on the up after Jon Stead's brace at Barnsley on Tuesday lifted Ipswich to 10th in the Championship table.
