Leeds United have signed striker Mike Grella, while Glynn Snodin has joined their coaching staff.
Highly-rated striker and former Elland Road favourite join Leeds
Leeds United have bolstered their attacking options by signing highly-rated American striker Mike Grella on an 18-month contract.
The deal comes after Grella scored a hat-trick on his debut for the reserves against Barnsley last week after joining the club on a trial basis.
The 22-year-old has attracted interest from a number of Championship clubs and was being monitored by several scouts.
He also had the option to link up with former Leeds head coach John Carver at Toronto but wanted to play in Europe.
An exciting prospect, Grella has represented the USA at both Under 18 and Under 20 level.
Snodin
Meanwhile, former Leeds favourite Glynn Snodin has returned to Elland Road after a 17-year absence to join new boss Simon Grayson's coaching staff.
The 48-year-old spent five years at Leeds, including helping the club win promotion in 1990 and the title two years later.
A highly-rated and experienced coach, he parted company with West Ham earlier this season when Gianfranco Zola took over from Alan Curbishley.
