Former Switzerland boss takes up reins at struggling Ligue 1 side
Former Switzerland manager Daniel Jeandupeux has become coach at struggling Ligue 1 side Le Mans.
The experienced tactician - who coached Switzerland from 1986-89 - took up the reins on Monday in place of Yves Bertucci, who will now serve as assistant coach.
The change comes after Le Mans lost 2-0 at home to Nantes at the weekend - their fourth defeat in their last five league matches, dropping to 13th in the table.
Jeandupeux, 59, takes on the role after being a special adviser to Le Mans president Henri Legarda since 2004.
Legarda told the
club's official website: "Yves said he needed assistance to manage the squad.
"After this request I have decided to name Daniel Jeandupeux as coach until the end of the season."
