Hull City chairman Paul Duffen has expressed his disbelief at fans who have publicly criticised manager Phil Brown.
Brown led the Tigers to the Premier League via the play-offs last season and surprised everyone with how well they took to life in the top flight.
Favourites to go straight back down at the beginning of the season, Brown saw his side record away wins at Newcastle, Arsenal and Tottenham all before November.
But, after scaling the heights of third in the table after their first seven games, and Brown subsequently securing the Premier League manager of the month award for September, City have seen their league form dip alarmingly.
Turnaround
The Tigers have won just once in 15 league games, their last win coming in early December against Middlesbrough, and have taken just two points from their previous eight league outings.
"I can't understand why any Hull fan would question the ability and the decisions of Phil Brown," Duffen told the
Hull Daily Mail.
"I think it's disgraceful. Fans have to trust the manager. I do think it is a vocal minority.
"But I find it shocking that some fans have already forgotten how well this football club is doing.
"People following the club are privileged to be doing so, because it is the most successful period in the club's history.
"For some fans to be taking this for granted is a great shame. Fans need to support the manager, whatever happens this season."
