Veteran front-man happy to play in Sweden
Swedish striker Henrik Larsson has agreed to prolong his career at Helsingborg.
The 37-year-old hit-man had been linked with a move to England in both the summer and January transfer windows but has agreed to continue his stint back in Sweden.
Larsson enjoyed a distinguished career with Feyenoord, Celtic and Barcelona, before returning to his homeland in 2006.
A brief but impressive loan spell at Manchester United back in 2007 whetted the appetites of a number of Premier League clubs keen to bring in a recognised goalscorer, but it now looks as though he will close his career in Sweden.
"A few details remain in the writing of the contract, but it should be ready in a couple of weeks," read an official club statement.
