Konstantopoulos stays in Wales

Cardiff City have signed goalkeeper Dimi Konstantopoulos on loan from Coventry City for the rest of the season. The Bluebirds have made the move for a new goalkeeper after number one Peter Enckelman was sidelined at the weekend following knee surgery. Cardiff have Tom Heaton on board but they wanted experienced cover and have now snapped up former Hartlepool star Konstantopoulos. The 30-year-old has moved to Ninian Park after a successful stint with Cardiff's Welsh rivals Swansea. Swansea had tried to extend his loan until the end of the season, but the Football League refused the move as they could not complete the deal before Monday's transfer deadline. Swansea appealed because of the weather conditions, and looked for special dispensation - but this was turned down.
