Tractor Boys defender extends spell with League Two leaders

Wycombe have announced that defender Chris Casement has extended his loan stay at Adams Park. The 21-year-old joined from Ipswich in January and after playing in every minute of the four possible games since his arrival manager Peter Taylor has decided to keep the youngster on for another month. Casement arrived at a good time for the League Two leaders with injuries keeping regular defenders Lewis Hunt and TJ Moncur on the sidelines. Of the four games the Northern Ireland international played in Wycombe won just once, meaning their lead at the top has been cut down to just one point. Before joining Wycombe the centre-half featured twice for the Tractor Boys in the Carling Cup this season before heading north to enjoy a short loan stint with Hamilton in the SPL. Casement was due to play for the Northern Ireland Under-21s on Tuesday against their Wales counterparts but the game was called off due to the current adverse weather conditions.
