Former Gunners ace to stay at Camp Nou
Alexander Hleb's agent insists Barcelona do want to cash in the former Arsenal star this summer.
The Belarus international was a high-profile acquisition at the start of the season, although he has failed to hold down regular football at the club.
It has been suggested the 27-year-old could depart after just one season, with Italian giants Inter Milan linked with a move in the summer.
However, Helb's agent Uli Ferber believes his client is liked by manager Josep Guardiola and the club are not looking to sell the star.
Staying
"Barcelona have no intention of losing a player like that," Ferber told
calciomercato.it said when quizzed on Hleb's long-term future.
"During Hleb's six months at Camp Nou Barcelona are convinced of his quality and will give him time to prove himself.
"He is happy in Barcelona. He likes everything from the team to the city.
"Of course he's not very pleased that he's not playing much, but he wants to fight for a first-team place.
"Also we're talking about the best team in the world with great players in every position. Alexander has great respect for his team-mates."
