Stags allow striker to head back to the Keepmoat Stadium
Mansfield have decided against extending Doncaster striker Tomi Ameobi's loan deal.
The youngster joined the Blue Square Premier outfit in January, but endured a fruitless spell at Field Mill.
He made one start and four substitute appearances during his time with the Stags, but failed to find the target.
Mansfield boss David Holdsworth has therefore allowed the 20-year-old to return to his parent club.
"Tomi has done a great job for us but we won't be extending his loan due to Nathan Arnold now being fit and with Scott Gardner also being able to play down the right hand side," Mansfield boss David Holdsworth told the club's
official website.
"He has come from a great club at Doncaster and they are great people there. We would like to thank him for all his efforts and hard work.
"He has been part of the equation which has led to our unbeaten run."
It is the second time this season that Ameobi has struggled to impress during a spell spent away from the Keepmoat Stadium, with a stint at Grimsby earlier in the campaign bringing no goals from two outings.
