League One club reveal Slade's successor

Yeovil Town have announced that Terry Skiverton has been appointed as the club's player-manager. The League One outfit parted company with former manager Russell Slade on Monday, and uncertainty still remains over the reasons for his departure. Skiverton has now been unveiled as Slade's successor, while Steve Thompson has been released from his contract as assistant manager with his position taken by Nathan Jones. Chairman John Fry told the club's official website: "I feel the knowledge, professionalism and enthusiasm of the two appointees will be of immense benefit to the club as it moves into a new phase of development." Skiverton joined Yeovil back in 1999 when then manager Colin Lippiatt brought the defender to Huish Park from Welling United. He has since made 380 appearances for the Glovers scoring 44 goals during that time.
