Birmingham have signed former Aston Villa defender Ulises de la Cruz on a short-term deal.
De La Cruz has inked a one-month contract with the Championship hopefuls after impressing Alex McLeish during a trial spell.
McLeish is a big fan of De La Cruz having worked with him during his time in charge of Hibernian and believes he will prove to be a valuable addition to his squad.
De La Cruz has been without a club since last summer after being released by Reading.
The 35-year-old is set to go straight into the squad for Wednesday's clash with Bristol City.
