Jonathan Douglas has confirmed his desire to sign a new contract with League One play-off hopefuls Leeds United.
The former Blackburn Rovers midfielder, who has been with Leeds since the summer of 2005, is out of contract at the end of the season.
Douglas has more League One starts than any other Leeds player this term and has shown his versatility of late after filling in at right-back due to injuries to Frazer Richardson and Andy Hughes.
The 27-year-old is currently focusing on ensuring Leeds finish inside the top six in League One and is just hoping his performances between now and the summer prompt the club to offer fresh terms.
No deal on the table
"I'm up at the end of the season," he told the club's
official website. "I haven't been offered anything, but we'll wait and see at the end of the season.
"I'd like to stay, especially if we go up, but that's not my decision, it's out of my hands. I can only do what I can do on the pitch.
"The manager has other things on his mind at the moment instead of worrying about other people's contracts!
"There's a long way to go and hopefully I will get one. I'm just concentrating on the games we have left and the points we have to play for."
