Striker snubs English interest to sign four-year deal

Juventus starlet Ayub Daud has ended speculation over his future by signing a new deal at the club. The 19-year-old was believed to be attracting interest from English duo West Ham and Tottenham after impressing at the recent Viareggio Carnival Cup. Juve were wary of losing the teenage striker and have moved to tie him down to his first professional contract with the Bianconeri. Daud was delighted to pledge his long-term future to Juve after signing a four-year deal. "It was a great pleasure to sign for Juve because they welcomed me when I was nine-years-old," Daud told Calciomercato.it. "They are like my second home and I was always hoping to get a contract here because I wanted to remain a Bianconero. [Sporting director Alessio] Secco complimented me for my achievements in Viareggio and then said we would have to meet at the club's headquarters. "Juve are always Juve. They are impeccable in everything they do, that is their style, the technical aspect is undisputed, as is their tradition. They always tell us: we are Juve, if you come in second, you will have failed."
