Northampton earn 1-1 home draw
Andy Holt put a dent in Tranmere Rovers' hopes of a play-off berth as Northampton Town earned a 1-1 draw at Sixfields.
Tranmere will see it as two points dropped after creating the better chances, especially in the second half, having taken a first-half lead through Bas Savage.
Charlie Barnett hit a post in the 20th minute for the visitors while Danny Jackman went close at the other end for Cobblers with a free-kick that was just off target.
But Savage gave Tranmere a 32nd-minute lead, heading past Chris Dunn after debutant Danny Mayor had set him up.
Tranmere should have doubled their advantage just before the break when Mayor and Barnett combined to put Ian Moore away but he shot wide from a good position.
Holt equalised in the 52nd minute, driving the ball past John Achterberg after Colin Larkin's strong run and good approach play from substitute Ikechi Anya.
