Chief executive steps down
Alastair Saverimutto has resigned his position as chief executive and director of Bournemouth with immediate effect.
Bournemouth's future had been in doubt earlier this season but they are now winning their battle against the threat of closure.
The Cherries are set to be taken over by former chairman Jeff Mostyn and local businessman Adam Murry after a deal was agreed earlier this week.
A winding-up petition was settled when a total of £33,000, owed to Magic Solutions Limited, was paid by Murry.
Murry, previously the club's operations director, failed in his first effort to invest in Bournemouth but is now pressing on with this fresh bid to buy the club.
Saverimutto said: "I would like to take this opportunity to sincerely wish Adam and his consortium every success in his tenure at the club.
"Clearly this significant investment he's injecting into the club will immediately rid the club of all the accrued debt, whilst bridging the monthly deficit until such time that he can balance the expenditure to the revenue."
