MIdfielder looking forward to chance to play first-team football
Blackpool have signed Alan Mahon on loan from Championship rivals Burnley until the end of the season.
Mahon has not played a first-team game for two months and has not started a match for the Clarets this term.
The midfielder could make his debut for Blackpool against Southampton at the weekend and is looking forward to his stint at Bloomfield Road.
"I just to want to play football, I know a couple of the lads and the manager, so it wasn't a hard decision," Mahon told the club's
official website.
Quality player
Burnley boss Owen Coyle had no qualms in letting Mahon join the Seasiders, feeling he has enough cover in his squad for the coming weeks.
Coyle said: "Alan Mahon is a lad I have got so much time for and I hold him in very high esteem.
"He has been limited to the amount of football he should be playing which is unfortunate because he is a quality player.
"I gave him my word that if something came up and he was able to go and play a bit, I would let him do that.
"We are well covered in the midfield area, so that is one reason we allowed Alan to go and we wish him every success."
