Lowly Grimsby pulled off the shock of the day by beating high-flying Gillingham 3-0 at Blundell Park on Saturday.
Jean-Louis Akpa Akpro scored on 33 minutes, Nick Hegarty added the second on 58 minutes and Barry Conlon netted a last-gasp third to give the Mariners their second successive home win and lift Mike Newell's side out of the relegation zone.
The defeat ended the Gills' eight match unbeaten run and saw Mark Stimson's side drop from second to third in the table.
