The former Manchester United centre-back has not featured since suffering a tendon injury against Plymouth in the third round of the FA Cup with complications keeping him out longer than the anticipated month.
French defender Silvestre came through a 90 minute outing for the club's second string against Chelsea reserves on Monday night and is now keen to boost Wenger's options ahead of a crucial spell for the club.
The Blues will be Arsenal's opponents in the last four of the FA Cup while Villarreal stand in their way of progress in Europe.

"It was very good to be back," Silvestre told the club's
official website.
"There have been so many big games and the team is doing well so you want to enjoy that as much as you can and be involved.
"I am glad of our progress and hopefully I can join in now."
