Robert Koren believes West Brom will need to win at least half of their remaining eight Premier League matches if they are to beat the drop.
The Baggies have struggled this season, although it is predominantly the club's woeful record away from the Hawthorns that sees them seven points adrift of safety.
However, unlike Derby last term, West Brom are still in with a shout of saving their top-flight status, although Koren believes it will take an unbelievable effort from his team-mates.
The Baggies arguably have an easier run-in than most of their rivals, as only two of their matches are against teams in the top nine and the Slovenia international claims belief is still high in Tony Mowbray's squad.
"We have shown many times this season that we can cope with this level and we need to show it again for the next few games," said Koren.
Pressure
"Of course, there is a lot of pressure on us and we need to cope with that. That shouldn't be an excuse or a problem for us to deal with.
"There are eight games to go and we need to win as many as we can to stay in the Premier League. We need to win four or five of our remaining games.
"We still need to believe and to show the desire we have shown defensively in the last two games and then, offensively, score more goals.
"We have got Stoke to play at home next after the internationals and, if we can beat them, I believe the fight will be open again."
