Preston goalkeeper extends Grimsby loan deal
League Two strugglers Grimsby have extended Wayne Henderson's loan deal until the end of the season.
The Preston goalkeeper initially joined the Mariners in February and has made seven appearances for Mike Newell's side.
He has welcomed the opportunity to play regular football after sitting out the majority of the last two seasons with a back injury.
Preston chairman Derek Shaw is more than happy to allow Henderson the opportunity to continue his return to full fitness at Blundell Park.
He said: "We're happy this deal has been able to give Wayne the games he needs at this moment in time.
"He is getting closer to where he wants to be all the time and it's good we have been able to reach an agreement that suits all parties.
"Wayne will get the football he wants from this deal while we can also work happily in the knowledge he'll be available to us at short notice if he's required for senior action back at Deepdale at any point before the end of the season."
