Lowly Leyton Orient look to put another dent in Oldham's promotion dreams this weekend.

Vital points at stake for two sides at opposite ends of the table

Lowly Leyton Orient look to put another dent in Oldham's promotion dreams this weekend. Orient continue find themselves locked in a relegation battle despite winning three of their last four fixtures. The Latics are more concerned with events at the opposite end of the table, but have slipped out of the play-off places on the back of a five-match winless run.

Orient team news

Leyton Orient boss Geraint Williams is able to welcome top scorer Adam Boyd back into his squad on Saturday. The 12-goal striker has not featured since 14th February due to an ankle injury but made his return for the reserves on Monday and is now set to regain his place in the side. Boyd is likely to replace on-loan Reading striker Simon Church who is away on international duty with the Wales U21 side for their European qualifier against Luxembourg. Williams will also be without defender Tamika Mkandawire who is set to miss the next two weeks with a knee injury suffered against Walsall last weekend. Alton Thelwell, who made his return from a knee injury as a substitute in the game, is set to replace Mkandawire.
Oldham team news
Oldham boss Joe Royle will welcome defender Stefan Stam and on-loan midfielder Ian Westlake back into the squad for the trip to Brisbane Road. Stam missed the midweek draw with Cheltenham due to a one-match ban for his red card in the defeat to Tranmere, while Westlake was ineligible to face his parent club. The pair are set to go straight back into the starting line-up but striker Lee Hughes will not feature after going on loan to Championship side Blackpool until the end of the season. The 32-year-old is the Latics' top-scorer this season but Royle has revealed his desire to blood some of his younger players before the season is out. Hughes' absence could mean Deane Smalley is pushed up front, while Steve Kabba and Lewis Alessandra are also vying for a start.
