Warren Feeney admits he found Artur Boruc's howler 'funny' in Northern Ireland's 3-2 win over Poland.
Boruc gifted Northern Ireland their third goal at Windsor Park when he allowed Michal Zewlakow's backpass to bobble over him and into the unguarded net.
Dundee United striker Feeney, who opened the scoring for Northern Ireland, admitted he could believe Boruc had conceded the goal.
"It was funny to be honest," Feeney told
Sky Sports News. "You don't expect it to happen.
"I chased the ball down and was actually hoping he would kick it straight to me and I couldn't believe it went in.
"It didn't roll in either it went in like a rocket into the corner."
Feeney also hopes Fifa will take no action against Northern Ireland after assistant referee Stefan Wittberg was struck by a missile at Windsor Park.
The Irish Football Association condemned the behaviour of a supporter who threw the missile and Feeney hopes there will no recriminations for the side as a result of the incident.
"It could maybe affect us and knock points off us," added Feeney. "It is one of those situations you don't want to see but hopefully the IFA will apologise and we would like to brush it under the table now."
