Veteran boss to see out qualifying campaign
Norway have confirmed that temporary head coach Egil Olsen will remain in charge of the national side throughout their World Cup qualifying campaign.
Olsen, who masterminded Norway's qualification to the World Cup finals in 1994 and 1998, replaced Age Hareide last year.
The 66-year-old was initially drafted in as a short-term measure, but Norway's FA has been impressed enough to keep him at the helm.
President of Norway's FA Sondre Kaafjord has now confirmed that Olsen will stay at the helm for the remainder of their World Cup qualifiers.
"What we have seen so far is basis enough to say that Egil Olsen will be national coach throughout the World Cup qualifiers," said Kaafjord.
Norway are currently bottom of Group Nine in the race for places at the 2010 World Cup finals in South Africa, without a win from their three matches.
