Ferguson and McGregor sent home from Rangers training
Sky Sports News understands that Rangers duo Barry Ferguson and Allan McGregor have been sent home from training.
The news comes after the pair were dropped from the starting line-up for Scotland's crucial World Cup qualifier against Iceland in midweek.
Scotland manager George Burley benched his skipper and his Gers team-mate after it was discovered that both had been involved in a drinking session after the 3-0 defeat to Holland on Saturday.
However, the controversy did not end there after both players were then photographed on the bench allegedly making obscene gestures in front of a packed Hampden Park crowd.
Scotland coped well without the pair as they went on to win 2-1 to keep their World Cup dream alive.
After the game, Burley said Ferguson could reclaim the captaincy in the future and stated both players still had a role to play in the qualifiers.
The SFA subsequently vowed to introduce a 'code of conduct' for the players in the wake of the incident, while the association's president George Peat wants a full investigation into the matter.
