Chester's Danby ruled out
Chester City goalkeeper John Danby has been ruled out for the remainder of the season with a shoulder injury.
The keeper, who broke Chester's consecutive performances record last month, sustained the injury in the Blues 2-1 win at Notts County last Saturday.
The club is now waiting for the Football League ratify an emergency loan so a new 'keeper can be bought in before Saturday's match against Macclesfield.
"I headed straight for the hospital in Chester after the match where it was confirmed I had suffered ligament damage," Danby told the Chester and District Standard.
"I'll be there on Saturday even if I have to be signed off by the doctor. I want to be at the match and give the team some support even if I can't play.
"I'm now hoping that whoever comes in to take my job as goalkeeper can do a good job in our five remaining league games."
