Striker linked with Barcelona and Arsenal

Gervinho has admitted he is flattered to hear his name linked with some of the top sides in Europe, although he believes he still has a lot to work on as a player. The Ivory Coast international has earned rave reviews for his performances with Le Mans this season. Reports have suggested that the likes of Barcelona and Arsenal are monitoring his progress with interest. Gervinho has previously admitted he would relish the opportunity to play in the Premier League but he still has two years left to run on his current contract. Now 21, he has hinted that he would be happy to bide his time and wait until he has developed into a more formidable striker. "Currently I am only focused on the club's future," Gervinho told Aujourd'hui Sport. "Interest from big European sides? I still have to improve. "It is very flattering to hear your name associated to great teams. However, to improve I just need to play very often. "We will see at the end of the season. But I am not attracted to join a big club just for the fun."
