Keeper yet to hold talks with Hartlepool

Hartlepool United goalkeeper Jan Budtz admits he is currently in the shop window as his contract winds down. Budtz's deal expires at the end of the season and he is unsure if he will be offered an extension by the League One club. He has recently returned from a loan spell at Oldham Athletic and impressed in Saturday's 0-0 draw at relegation rivals Crewe Alexandra. The Dane has made just six appearances for Pools this season and is keen to make the most of his present opportunity in the team. "I'm out of contract in the summer and there might be people out here looking for next season - I don't know where I am at the moment," Budtz told the Northern Echo. "I haven't talked to the club yet, things are open. Now I hope to stay in the team until the end of the season. "I went to Oldham on loan and it went wrong, it wasn't a wrong choice as I played three games, but it's nice to be back playing for Hartlepool."
