Cameroon midfielder attracting interest
Achille Emana's agent has played down reports linking the Real Betis star with possible moves to Tottenham and Blackburn.
Reports in England had suggested that Tottenham and Blackburn were battling it out to sign the Cameroon international at the end of the season.
Emana has enjoyed a superb season to date with Betis since his arrival from Toulouse last summer with the powerful midfielder netting 11 goals so far.
His performances have not gone unnoticed by other clubs across Europe, but Emana's agent Sebastien Thiery insists he has had no contact with either Tottenham or Blackburn.
"Emana has enjoyed a great season with Betis and it is normal that there is interest from clubs in England, Italy and Spain," Thiery told
skysports.com.
"But at the moment I have had no contact with any clubs including Tottenham and Blackburn.
"Emana is under contract at Beits and he is focusing on them until the end of the season."
Thiery admitted Emana does have a €20million buy-out clause in his contract if any club wants to lure him away from Betis.
"It is true that Emana has a €20million buy-out clause in his contract at Betis and I believe they are keen to keep him at the club," added Thiery.
