Sky Sports is launching a survey to find out the best player ever to wear a Burnley shirt - and we would like you to get involved. We are asking fans of each of the 92 English League teams and 12 Scottish Premier League sides to nominate their all-time favourite footballers. Not too many fans will be able to remember George Beel but his exploits cannot be ignored. The striker is the club's all-time record goalscorer with 187 in 337 appearances. The frontman also hold's the club record for most goals in a season - 35. Beel netted 11 hat-tricks in his time at Turf Moor and was top scorer in six of his nine seasons with the club. A brilliant record in any era. Perhaps you'll vote for the more recent goalscoring sensation Andy Payton. Lifelong Clarets fan Payton is a legend in many Burnley fans' eyes. Many believe it was his goals that saved the club from relegation in his debut season in 1998 when all looked lost. The striker finished his career with the club with a total of 81 goals in 178 appearances. What about the legendary Steve Davis? The defender was one of the most committed performers ever seen in a Burnley shirt. After an initial loan spell Davis made his move permanent in 1991 when he signed for a bargain £60,000 from Southampton. Had two spells at the Clarets where he became synonymous with elegantly bringing the ball out from the back. Maybe current forward Robbie Blake gets your vote or maybe the legendary Jimmy McIlroy gets your nomination. The midfielder even has a stand at Turf Moor named after him for his achievements in a Clarets shirt from 1950 to 1962 where he scored an impressive 116 times in 439 appearances for the club Other men who may get the nod could be Frank Casper, FA Cup winning goalkeeper from 1914 Jerry Dawson - who went on to make 700 appearances for the club - or winger Willie Morgan.
