Sky Sports is launching a survey to find out the best player ever to wear a Exeter City shirt - and we would like you to get involved. We are asking fans of each of the 92 English League teams and 12 Scottish Premier League sides to nominate their all-time favourite footballers. Sid Thomas, who scored the winning goal for Exeter in their first-ever match and went on to serve the club in various capacities for 70 years, must be considered among the club's most important figures. The Grecians entered the league in 1920 and enjoyed a spell of sustained success in the 1930s when Fred Whitlow hit 33 goals one season - a club record. Post-war, striker Alan Banks had two spells at St James Park in the 60s and 70s and scored over 100 goals for City while popular Cornish centre-forward Tony Kellow had three separate spells at Exeter in the 70s and 80s. In recent times, towering striker Steve Flack became a terrace favourite with 63 goals in 268 league games over a period of almost a decade. Peter Fox and Noel Blake both played for the club with distinction, while Darren Rowbotham and Kwame Ampadu are cult heroes from recent years. So who gets your vote? To make your selection, please complete the form below and tell us why you are putting your chosen nominee forward. Once we have received all your nominations, we will narrow down the selections for each side to the 10 leading candidates. You can then vote for your personal favourite. After all votes are cast, we will reveal the winners ahead of the 2009/10 season and crown the Grecians' greatest-ever player!
